Automotive : Security Systems : Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)

Wireless data communication has rapidly found its way into automotive security, convenience and multimedia applications. Melexis focuses on the niche of low-power and low-cost RF and RFID solutions.

The very small and highly integrated RF transceivers, transmitters and receivers are optimized for applications in the unlicensed ISM frequency bands. Typical applications are remote keyless entry (RKE), car alarms, tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) and garage door openers.
